Ontario’s Condominium Act governs the rights and responsibilities of condo developers, owners, corporations and boards of directors.

The Condominium Act establishes a number of protections for condo buyers and owners, because as a condo owner rights and responsibilities differ from other homeowners. For example, you are entitled to vote at meetings of the condominium corporation and you are required to follow the condo’s declaration, bylaws and rules.

Currently Ontario’s Ministry of Consumer Services has provided funding to Canada’s Public Policy Forum to lead a three- phase public engagement exercise as a prelude to the review of the Condominium Act.

These links are provided for Board members or interested homeowners, access to the review process and the published stage one and two finding of the forum.
